we had our advent service tonight. invited other churches from nashville area. i think we had right at 100 people. i was worried about the logistics of sooo many people and space limited. west nashville umc is a great old chapel, but it isn't designed for these contemplative worship experiences. it went great, sure there were people who didn't get involved (or atleast seemed that way), but most seemed to get into the prayer experiences. i especially enjoyed the "choir of angels." a prayer station where participants sang inpromptu.. i loved going into that space and hearing all the voices, certainly that was my favorite part. more on this as i get more of an opportunity to reflect.
