relax, it's not another gay cartoon character, but now it is buster the bunny from "postcards from buster" who has come under attack for "promoting" a homosexual lifestyle. this thankfully doesn't come from any religious movement, but interestingly comes from the government. buster here is going around showing the different aspects of sugar. he goes to a farm which happens to be occupied by two women who are in a lesbian relationship. so, under the guise of "we don't want to force this on parents" the government has come with the criticism. why the government? well, they apparently help to fund this show in their Ready-to-Learn television programming.. (obvious joke: tv for education?) in a society where this lifestyle is more prevalent why is the government shunning it?
i saw some of the video clips where buster is promoting the homosexual lifestyle. he went into the house and then the kitchen were he met the two women. now i am sure the full episode shows more interaction and dialog, but seriously, this isn't something that is detrimental to children. banning this episode if it does anything, it gives parents an opportunity not to teach children their children about the world around them, right or wrong. not giving children an understanding of the dynamics of their world promotes the fears that come from insecurities associated with poor understanding.
