pastor vin at my church had a conversation some many moons ago about "research" he had read talking about how youth desired more liturgy. it made sense to me as we always used a reading from the book of common prayer, methodist book of worship, ys's book of uncommon prayer, & other liturgical resources (mainly websites) & those readings always seemed to make an impact, more than anything we would say or do in the space that is "youth group." did you ever wonder why youth love the "umyf benediction?" it's scripture put into a liturgical blessing. it seems silly that we do not use liturgy more, it is graced with beautiful prayers, sound theological responses, comforting words from saints, and more. let's excite a passion for liturgy and bring it into the
