i was talking with erin on friday. she had a conversation with her mentor terry. terry is someone i greatly respect for his wisdom and challenging vision for ministry, plus he's just cool. terry and erin got to talking about me. they, like many, are really interested in my finding a full-time job in the ministry somewhere. terry brought up a thought and i totally see it. i speak and expect to be understood in this whole post-modern thought. however, those people who are doing the hiring are most likely from the modern thought. a breakdown arises.
i now have to look @ how i am communicating at the next interview, staff meeting, & parent/volunteer conversation because those who work with the moderns who might be post-modern, are set up for a communication breakdown.
