so somewhere between monday & tuesday morning i have come down with a nagging cold. nothing major, as i just returned from the doctor. i have spent these couple of days sleeping, reading, & dumbing down by watching daytime tv. i haven't been able to talk about much, but quite a bit has happened. there is one happening of great importance for me shawn has landed in kuwait beginning his tour in iraq.
shawn has started his own blog for his friends and family to keep updated on his various duties, read it if you like. i posted some of my thoughts on his deployment (my brother & day 2) which centers our distress because we have little control over war and may not understand preparations military takes in equipping our armies. my brother, i am sure, is concerned for his safety and hates to leave his wife, but know he is quite comfortable that this is his duty, "his turn."
