switched up my morning prayer time to take advantage of one of my fav parts of lake j. i got brett, one of the young adults and local pastor to our conference to go with me for a morning walk and spent time with the labyrinth on the lawn of the chapel. for me it one of those physical prayer exercises that i take advantage of occassionally. for the most part i receive some revelation of where i am with God in my life, this week was not a huge revelation but an encouragement to keep God with my walk.
i have a long day ahead, for a leadership retreat there is way too much programming happening. leaders need rest more than anything, but there is a model of doing things here at the lake and they roll through it as usual. currently i'm listening to jim winkler who i am interested to hear what he has to say, seeing that he says quite a bit on behalf of our church. he's speaking on Christian leadership, so i doubt there will be anything controversial, but not everything has to be that way to be worth hearing.
